We are very excited to announce that Dave Arthur will be launching his lovingly crafted biography of A.L. Lloyd, Bert: The Life and Times of A. L. Lloyd, at the fantastic Cecil Sharp House in north London. A.L. Lloyd, or Bert as he was known, was an iconic figure in the UK folk scene in the twentieth century – a songwriter, poet, Marxist, whalerman and much more. Dave will be playing with his band alongside Iris Bishop on the night.
