Jonathan Cook asks why Britain is being even “more Israeli than the Israelis” after the arrest of Sheikh Raed Salah

Jonathan Cook, author of Israel and the Clash of Civilisations, (Pluto Press, 2008), has written in Middle East Monitor on the arrest of spiritual leader Raed Salah by the British state, and the level of bigotry has evinced in our society. The full article can be accessed online here.

Responding to this, yesterday a silent protest was held by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) opposite Downing Street, to symbolise how the British government have tried to silence Salah, and how he has been prevented from speaking to his legal team.
